From Surface to Story

A One-Day Workshop in Decorating Greenware

May 2, 2026

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-Hour Lunch Break)

Pottery doesn’t end when the form is finished.
That’s where the story begins.

This one-day, hands-on workshop teaches participants how to decorate greenware with intention, so that when pieces reach the bisque stage, glaze becomes a frame for the artwork rather than a last-minute fix. Instead of relying on glaze to rescue a surface, participants learn to build meaning, imagery, and design directly into the clay.

The day blends clear instruction, creative exploration, relaxed studio time, and personal application, allowing participants to move from learning techniques to completing decorated greenware in a single focused session.

Your Instructor

Mack Munro. Co-owner of Fair Winds Pottery

  • Step-by-step demonstrations

  • Guided hands-on practice

  • Time to experiment without pressure

Why This Workshop Matters

This isn’t only about technique.

It’s about slowing down, working with your hands, sharing stories across the table, and creating something that feels unmistakably yours. A single day in the studio can reset the noise, steady the breath, and remind you why clay keeps calling people back.

Come for the skills.
Stay for the conversation.
Leave with a story you made yourself.
